Since founding Smiths Funeral Directors alongside his wife Ruth, son Mark, and daughter-in-law Naomi, Ian has led the business with unwavering compassion, integrity, and dedication. He has been supported every step of the way by our dedicated and compassionate team whose commitment to providing comfort and care during difficult times truly makes a difference every day.
The Constitution and Ethics Committee commended Ian how, under his leadership, the company has established a stellar reputation for the highest standards of service, becoming a trusted name and pillar of support not only in Peterborough but across the wider region.
Ian has touched countless lives, offering comfort and support during some of the most difficult moments families endure. His kindness, empathy, and deep commitment to the local community have made a lasting impact on everyone he has served — a true testament to the power of genuine care.
