Traditional Funeral Service
From £ 2585.00
- The provision of our fully trained staff for the funeral arrangements.
- Provision of a trained funeral conductor and necessary staff on the day of the funeral.
- Arranging the completion of all necessary statutory documentation.
- Flexibility with the selection of the date and time of the funeral.
- Flexibility with the selection of the venues for the funeral
- Our administration, communicating and liaising with statutory authorities and other key professionals & organisations.
- Managing and arranging for the payment of all third party “disbursement” costs.
- The transfer of the deceased to our chapel of rest.
- Our personal care and daily attention of the deceased.
- Flexibility to choose the style of coffin.
- Use of our viewing room by family and friends.
- Provision of a motor hearse with the added flexibility of choosing an alternative hearse.
- Flexibility to add a limousine.
- Flexibility for us to assist you with a death notice, order of service or in the arranging of floral tributes.
- Collection and care of the cremated remains for up to 3 months
- The provision of our on-going support, guidance and advice for family and friends throughout the funeral arrangement.
Simple Funeral Service

- Provision of trained funeral conductor and necessary staff on the day of the funeral.
- Provision of a motor hearse.
- Our administration, communicating and liaising with statutory authorities and other key professionals & organisations.
- Arranging the completion of all necessary statutory documentation.
- Managing and arranging for the payment of all third party “disbursement” costs.
- The funeral will be arranged to take place 10:00am or prior.
- The transfer of the deceased into our care.
- Our personal care and daily attention of the deceased.
- Use of our viewing room by family and friends. (Weekdays 9:00am – 4:00pm)
- Simple veneered coffin with six self-coloured plastic handles and engraved nameplate.

- Provision of necessary staff on the day of the cremation.

- The direct cremation will take place locally at Peterborough Crematorium.

Planning ahead

We offer the Independent Way Funeral Plan which is a bespoke plan, tailored to individual requests, and therefore also tailored to individual costs incurred in the plan. If you would like to know more about the benefits of taking out a funeral plan, please telephone to make an appointment to meet with us either in our funeral home or in the comfort of your own home.
If you already have a pre-purchased funeral plan and would like to discuss transferring the plan and nominating Smiths Funeral Directors, we would be pleased to talk to you about arranging this.
