At Smiths Funeral Directors, we are proud to offer our dedicated service room, The Old Court House Service Room. With seating for up to 40 people, it provides a warm, intimate, and respectful setting where families and friends can come together to honour the life of a loved one.
This versatile space is available for a wide range of occasions, including:
- Funeral services – for those who prefer a smaller, more personal gathering.
- Memorial services – offering a chance to celebrate a life at a later date, especially if family and friends were unable to attend the funeral itself.
- Private family reflection – a peaceful setting where families can spend quiet time together in remembrance.
- Roman Catholic Rosary services – or other faith-based or non-religious gatherings, tailored to your wishes.
Some families also choose to hold a farewell service in the Old Court House before an unattended cremation. This provides an opportunity for relatives and friends to gather, share memories, and say goodbye in a supportive environment, while still respecting the wishes of those who request no attendance at the crematorium. For many, this step becomes an important part of the grieving and healing process.
